Managing your Hosting Service's Temporary URL

Enabling the Temporary URL for Your GippsHost Hosting Service

Important Information: The Temporary URL will be activated for 28 days, after which it will be automatically disabled.

If you require access to your website before directing your domain name to our servers, enabling the use of a temporary URL may be your best option. This guide will help you through the process.

Steps to Enable the Temporary URL

  1. Login to Your Client Area
    • Access your GippsHost client area using your login credentials.
  2. Select Your Hosting Product/Service
    • From the dashboard, locate and select the hosting product or service for which you wish to enable the Temporary URL.
  3. Navigate to Manage Temporary URL
    • On the left-hand side menu, under the "Actions" section, click on "Manage Temporary URL".
  4. Enable or Disable the Temporary URL
    • On the Manage Temporary URL page, you will have the option to either enable or disable your Temporary URL.
    • Click on the "Enable" button to activate the Temporary URL.

Viewing the Temporary URL

Once activated, you will see the Temporary URL displayed along with the number of days remaining until it is disabled.

http://yourserverhostname/~yourcpanelusername
